I love flowers ! If anything, I could buy a whole house full of flowers if I could. This week, it’s the Chelsea Flower Show week and it’s also the arrival of Chelsea in Bloom and Belgravia in Bloom. Funnily enough, I’ve heard of the reputable Chelsea Flower Show but I didn’t know there are these streets filled with blossoms in both Chelsea and Belgravia area until my friend introduced them to me yesterday.
As we took two toddlers along, we chose the Belgravia area to explore. If you are going this week, you might want to take a look at this guide where it has all the information of the festival. (From the streets that have participated to events listings!) and mind you, the festival is ending on 25 May, 2019 (Sat) so go check it out as soon as possible if you are interested. Entry is free!
Firstly, we went to the Market Hall in Victoria for lunch as we wanted to walk around the area and a light lunch would be perfect. We ended up ordering Japanese udon noodles for the kids from Koya Ko and we had Malaysian food from Gopal’s Corner, the famous Roti King’s sister restaurant.
After lunch, we head to the different streets in Belgravia! Look at those blossoms! Beautiful isn’t it!
Peggy Porschen Cakes
Last but not least, after wandering along the streets for a good few hours, we headed to Peggy Porschen Cakes for tea! Eli’s favourite has got to be the “Berryburst & Elderfleur Cake”! He had half of the slice all by himself! My favourite? The Dark Chocolate & Truffle Cake pleassee!
All in all, I had so much fun I’ll definitely go check out the festival again next year! I’ve heard the Chelsea blooms are even more impressive (as there are also themed blossoms- with animals display etc!) But tbh, I can’t really see a correlation between the blooms and the animals lol !
Have you been to the festival yet? Let me know your views below! Two more days until another bank holiday weekend! Hang in there everyone, and enjoy the weather!
