I used to struggle to find the perfect dress or top to nurse as I am picky about the style of them. I don’t like everything that is too exposed and I hate styles that screams “nursing” to me. On top of that, as my belly has already shrinked postpartum, most nursing dress don’t fit me well. I had to find something that is “normal” and yet be able for me to nurse discreetly. But there really isn’t a lot of choice out there. Hence this post to share my 5 top brands for nursing in style and yet not breaking the bank. (You wanna leave most money to your beloved lil ones..!)
1, ZARA (obviously!)
I always go to Zara first when looking for a decent nursing dress. Do they stock maternity wear? You may wonder. You are right, they don’t but they always have a few options of nice shirt dresses. Shirt dresses are perfect for nursing (easy access, duh!) and as they are mostly not tight-fitted, so you can still hide your postpartum belly. What’s not to love? Here’s a few options from ZARA at the moment.
You guys might not have heard of this brand before but it has been around for some time already. It has the most versatile maternity/nursing dresses on the market and the best thing is, it is stocked by ASOS! They are comfortable, and can be worn with different items in your wardrobe.
Celebrity favourite Seraphine is my go-to brand for maternity wear as they are well-made, classic and stylish. If your belly has already shrinked to its original size then their nursing dresses might not be suitable for you but they have a selection of wrap dresses where even Kate Middleton is a fan. And the best thing is you can wear them throughout your pregancy and postpartum period.
Normally Topshop is a brand for the petite as their sizes run a bit small. However, they have the most amazing maternity midi wrap dresses for us all women out there who wants to stay stylish even when breastfeeding. Here’s a few of the dresses they sell right now.
perfect for dates with/without the kids…
